Tribulus Extract

Tribulus extract is a small plant with lots of leaves and a fruit that has sharp spines. It is also known as puncture vine and goat’s head. The plant has been known to grow in many places around the world, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
Many people have traditionally used the plant for a variety a uses, which include support of cardiovascular health, the enhancement of the sex drive, improvement of urinary tract health, a soothing ointment for eczema, and the boosting of testosterone. There are some claims that tribulus extract can reduce blood sugar, lower cholesterol, and even enhance hormone levels.

When it comes to male enhancement, testosterone is an integral part of the man’s sexual responsiveness. This includes the desire for sex and the ability to get and maintain an erection. Tribulus terrestris, which is the scientific name for the plant, is a well-known sexual health aid and is used in concert with other supplements to multiply its potency. It is typically used with other known sexual enhancement ingredients, such as ginseng, yohimbe, maca root, and guarana.

Some studies have shown that for men with erectile dysfunction, there were significant improvements in erections and sexual satisfaction when using doses of 1500 mg.per day. These same studies continue to show that the traditional use of tribulus supplements will enhance the male sexual response.

One study examined the effects of taking tribulus daily in nearly 100 women with type 2 diabetes. After approximately 3 months, the women taking the tribulus supplement experienced a decrease in blood sugar and cholesterol levels, compared to the women who took a placebo.

Some research has given hope that a form of tribulus may one day be produced to help protect against blood vessel damage and also to help prevent an increase in blood cholesterol.

Tribulus supplements are generally safe for most people when taken orally for a short period of time. Tribulus has been used safely in research studies when used up to 90 days. There are some mild side effects associated with the prolonged use of tribulus. These side effects are usually mild and uncommon but might include stomach pain, cramping, and diarrhea.

Over many years, people have successfully taken tribulus in an attempt to improve work out performance, boost the effects of testosterone, and to help treat a broad range of health issues that may include cardiovascular and circulatory conditions, as well as sexual issues. It may well be worth the effort, in light of its enormous benefits, to give tribulus a try.
